It’s that time of year again. The beach chairs are preparing to be folded up, the beach balls are off for one lasttoss, and the beachfront vacation houses are readying for the immenent exit of their tenants (and then a thorough cleaning).
The end of summer is here. But before it’s gone, you get one last weekend: Labor Day Weekend. Popular not only because it marks the end of a season, but because of the sheer amount of drunken hilarity that always ensues as folks grasp for one last summer party. We were going to do a post related to “Beverly Hills 90210″ in honor of today’s date, but then God decided to take another dump on the Gulf Coast.
I don’t know what the people down there did to enrage God for the past few decades, but it seems that the big man upstairs is really enjoying destroying pretty much everything around the region. Hurricane Katrina, Saints winning the Super Bowl, the BP oil spill and now another oil spill. These people just can’t catch a break. The good news is that this oil rig explosion didn’t kill anyone, nor was it currently in operation (then why did it blow up???) so it seems unlikely that there will be any spillage. That’s all well and good, but if anything it’s still going add more horrifying flavors to my plate of Quaker State Oysters.

We haven’t heard from Kim Kardashian for awhile, have we? Ok, maybe we heard from her last week. And the week before. Actually, it seems like Kim K’s ridiculous life has been in the news pretty much everyday for the past year. “The Last Exorcism” is, you guessed it, the latest exorcism movie to hit screens, and hopefully the last as I’m not sure what else Hollywood can do with this genre. The movie was made documentary-style, meaning lots of shaky cam and characters taking events way too seriously. Still, it seems like is should be good for a decent scare or two, on par with “Paranormal Activity.” I suggest you go check out ScreenJunkies.com’s “The Last Exorcism” review before you head out to theaters this weekend to scream your lungs out.

Listen, we’re not here to judge. Or wait, maybe we are. But anyway, the point is we’re about to judge. Beauty contestants are dumb, right? Amiright?? So apparently last night during the Miss Universe 2010 Competition, Miss Philippines, Venus Raj ,22, was asked what she had done in her life that was wrong and what had she done to fix it. Her answer: Nothing. I’m not talking silence, I’m talking that she feels she has done nothing wrong in her life. Until, of course, that moment she finished that statement. So drivers near Beijing, China are screwed. There’s been a traffic jam going on for NINE DAYS. How is that even possible. We’re in Los Angeles, what I thought was one of the worst traffic jam cities in the world, but I guess my vision is rather narrow. 100 km of sheer traffic is stranding drivers and no one knows when it will end. The news came from Spain today that a giant bull jumped into a crowd of spectators and injured nearly 30. Then came the video. We’re not dense around here. We saw an opportunity to watch even more bullfighting and we jumped on it. So, in honor of the 30 or so injured Spaniards, we present to you a great set of bullfighting videos. Over the weekend or earlier this morning (We don’t know; we just look at the pictures) an Aires Colombian airlines flight crashed on the island of San Andres, Colombia. The plane broke into three pieces yet only 1 person was killed. The remaining 127 or so passengers were relatively unharmed. Is that unbelievable or what?
